What a thoroughly developed theological cosmology tends to be really good at is elucidating the positive/negative polarity between good and evil. But any kind of fundamental dualism of this kind necessarily rests on a more fundamental doctrine of free will. Why? Because the paradox of free will relates a dualist framework with the monism of a holistic cosmology. Deny free will, your consciousness can melt back into the cosmos, collapsing particularity and individual experience. Accept free will, you can frame the rest of the cosmos as other and you can channel your particular agency (ego consciousness) in a way that is differentiable from the rest of the cosmology. But seeing that you are embodied, you have already “chosen” to accept free will, at least in this incarnation. So the polarity of good/evil comes into the picture after the acceptance of free will, and it determines how an embodied agent relates to their environment. The positive path of polarization will relate to the environment (and other entities in the environment) through the choice of love and encouragement). The negative path of polarization relates to the environment through control and subjugation). Notice, however, that positive/negative polarity does not map onto “right” or “wrong” fundamentally speaking from the monistic perspective. Both paths are technically two sides to the same dynamic cosmos, although the positive path has the benefit of consciously reflecting upon and perceiving more of a holistic cosmology of unity (while maintaining free will) than the negative path, because even though both paths (positive/negative) existentially depend on free will, the positive path integrates Love (the respect, acceptance and encouragement of another free will) while the negative path blocks this acceptance and integration, which is necessary for the ethos of control and subjugation of the other into the will of the self. However, the positive path is not necessarily the easier path to follow. In fact, both paths are difficult to follow, especially in the view of one who doesn’t believe there is a difference between good and evil.
Now on any plane of being, the prerequisite for temporal experience in a perceivable environment is embodiment, and the prerequisite of embodiment is the consumption of food, food which will depend on the nature of the plane. Therefore, any embodied agent is ecologically situated, and therefore necessarily needs to consume food. Predation is obviously negative, and one can’t escape it by veganism, because plants are part of the cosmos too after all, and they have their own level of consciousness, even if less developed in relation to our own. So some negative polarity is inevitable, at least on our own physical plane. But ultimately, polarity follows from intention, which is an extension of free will. On higher planes of being, embodiment is not physical but in the form of thoughts (rather it is more correct to say that ALL is thought and that the physical plane is only a certain density of thought). Thoughtforms must consume thoughts in order to ecologically subsist. This nutritional aquisition of thought is one major impetuous for paranormal interaction with our physical plane of being.
Now for positive thoughtforms, the matter of food is very trivial, because positive entities are concerned first about the wellbeing of others, and the problem of food is never really a “problem” because of the free-giving, communal nature of positive thoughts. For negative thoughtforms, the battle for food (negative thought generation) is paramount and more violent, because negative thought is thought fundamentally selfish, and is not freely given. And so trickery, subversion, gaslighting, persuasion, and deal-making must be employed to extract and provoke negative thoughts from a physical host, because the negative thought must be extracted while simultaneously maintaining the free will of the host, or else the potency of the food will be corrupted. Polarization towards positivity or negativity requires development and refinement to increase in power in either direction respectively (think of the Force in star wars); since polarization is predicated on free will, a trespass against free will results in a regression in polarization in the power of the thought-form. As such, both positive and negative entities must be “invited” to interact.
For negative entities, this invitation takes two forms primarily: the direct and the indirect. In the direct strategy, the invitation on the part of the physical agent is intentional; occultist summoning is the prime example. Even in the direct form, the physical agent might misunderstand the polarity of thought-form; negative entities will often attempt to disguise themselves as positive entities, but they will not lie when asked via direct questioning else they will lose polarization to their detriment. In the indirect strategy of invitation, negative entities will attempt to contact the physical agent while the agent is in a vulnerable state, such as a depressive state, or while the agent is undergoing a psychonautic trip. The negative entity will often disguise itself and propose to accompany the agent as a “friend”. In any case, the case of negative possession or personal haunting is largely attributed to the penetration of something akin to the “spiritual immune system” of a physical agent. In the case of the indirect method of invitation, the best strategy of the negative thought-form is to convince the host that it does not exist while feeding the host negative thought which in turn lead to more negative thoughts.
To remove such negative entities from one’s mental being, the agent has several options. First, the agent ALWAYS has the power to uninvite the entity and to exercise his or her own free will. This is the most powerful and important method. Second, and the agent ALWAYS has the power to invoke positive entities for assistance in removing negative entities, and unlike negative entities, a positive entity will perform this service without asking for anything in return, because the joy and privilege of serving others when invited to do so is the joy that moves and sustains them. Positive entities will not interfere in your free will, and will aid you and encourage you, if invited to, to the extent that your will does not interfere with the will of others. This is the Good, the Christian concept of Grace, the power of prayer, etc. The arena is largely mental, but the physical is secondary to the mental, in the same way that the division of good/evil is secondary to the acceptance of free will.
